I will really appreciate if someone clarifies my doubt on ps3 voltage differences. In future i will be going to use a Canadian bought ps3 slim which uses 110v whereas in pakistan the voltage is 220v. I have done a lot of research and what i have learnt leads to two outcomes.

  1. Ps3 has a universal power input and it works on multiple voltages and as such it is safe to play without any step down converter.
  2. To use a step down 220v to 110v converter instead. Please i will be grateful if someone clears my problem.

Khalid Farooq, you should not have to use a transformer at all. The power supply in the PS3 Slim is a universal power supply. It is capable of operating on 100-240V 50/60Hz. All you will need is a power cord from the PS3 to the electrical outlet. It is safe to use in Pakistan the way Sony build it.
