Hello, i replaced the screen on my wifes iPhone 6 and the proximity sensor works when the screen is not completely put back and clipped on the phone, but when completely closed does not work anymore. What could be the problem? I tried to insert a video with my question, hope it helps you help me.
Video actually helps a lot, great work! Does the proximity sensor work with the old screen or have you tested that yet? So your physical proximity is built into the front camera assembly. Could be the cable itself (front camera assembly) is being pinched when the phone is closed and when it’s open the cable is fine and responsive. Could also be a damaged proximity sensor during repair. I would try the old screen real quick and if that doesn’t work swap to a new proximity. Hopefully this helps.
