Hi guys, I need an advice from an iPad repair tech. Got a Air 2 that doesn’t power up, no sign of activity. When I connect the charger I get 4.5v and 2.5amps on the usb tester. There probably a short somewhere. The iPad is not open yet, I checked the charging port under microscope and it seem perfect. So where could be the short inside ? Thanks, any help is appreciate :-)
hello lemerise, You probably have micro cracks in the dock tape connection. 4.5V is not a native value via usb (it should be 5V) and the 2.5A draw suggests a charging problem in tristar’s lines. You have to open device. Ipad air2 is enought mapped, you’ll not have got a problems.
