Power button works, red light comes on, no screen

shine a bright light into the screen and see if you can see an image.. can you hear sound? If you can hear sound and no picture but see the picture with a bright torch shining into the screen then back light board has gone you need a new back light board.. if no sound and still no picture when shining torch in to screen then not back light.
