I did a screen replacement and a flex cable replacement on an iPad 2, CDMA. In short, the power button will turn on and off the iPad, however, pressing the power button will not put the display to sleep or wake it. I’m assuming that the square circuitry on the flex cable, between the volume buttons and the board connector controls this and could be bad? Any suggestions?
Most likely case is still bad/damaged flex. Post back if two new cables have failed. jessa
Can’t figure out how to cut iPad off. I assumed I could hold button down and it would cut off. Any advise?
