Like the title says, if I press hard against the back cover of the phone directly below the power button the button will function normally, but the second I take pressure off it no longer works. It clicks as usual but does not turn the screen on or off. Given the Priv’s nature as a slide phone, I worry it has something to do with the mechanism and that the repair may be intensive. Hopefully someone out there can help, not having a power button can be pretty annoying. I’m more than willing to give any other information that may be relevant.

Got the issue several days ago. Gonna disassemble my phone tonight and check it. Seems the button is on the flexible cable, so hopefully I can just resolder it to the mainboard. However, given the nature of the issue, it might be soldering problem for a power controller chip, that would be harder. AFAIK the problem is massive, there are few similar reports at Crackberry :(
