Chosen Solution
I did the iFixit battery replacement for my wife’s iPhone 8 following the guide here. All went OK, except I overheated the lower right corner of the screen I guess so the colors are bad. The bigger problem is the power button does nothing. Presses don’t turn the phone off or on. Advice?
The burn may have done damage to the off button.Tear it down and see if anything is wrong.
