Was gaming on my ps4when the picture disapeared, sound was still on. Backlight was not shining anymore. I cant afford a new tv and i live very far away from reparators and very bad at the mechanical stuff, anybody knows how to fix on a cheap budget and without destroying the whole tv?
@peterpeter3 let’s see if this is a backlight issue. In a darkened room no your TV on and sound playing, shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out shapes/silhouettes etc. If so it is your backlight that has failed. You would need to check the power board and then the backlight LED’s. If you cannot make out shapes/silhouettes etc. it is possibly the main board or the T-con board. We need to know your complete TV model number and you need to remove the back cover from your TV. Take a look at the boards. Do not touch! and post some really good pictures of your boards with your QUESTION. That way we can se what you see and hopefully help you further.
