Chosen Solution
So my iPhone 6 suddenly shut off and I’ve tried the home/lock screen trick…nothing. I’ve charged with a wall charger and also plugged the USB into my laptop and my computer recognizes the device yet my screen still won’t turn on. How exactly am I supposed to go about fixing this.. Should I just buy a new phone? The phone is on, the screen just isn’t working I supposed. I had my friend call and it rings all the way through. HELP!!
Use a flashlight and flash it on the screen and look carefully… Test by using wake/sleep, home button and connect to itunes to see if you can see a faint image. If so, your phone is ok, it just needs a backlight repair. If not, it may still be okay but need to troubleshoot a couple more things first. Post back with your results
