Hi! My TC is permanent overheated las 4 months. I tried to clean it with service engineer, but overheat issue appears still as usual. Cooler works very loud, but engineer said it’s ok. I heard it is a bug of most TC devices and some people knows a tricks how fix it. Can you give me advice what to do?

I know of no tricks here ;-{ Most of the time the fan is clogged. You may need a new fan if its always racing as that might be a bad tachometer. Did you damage the fan connector or cable during repair? As that too will cause it to race as the tach is not communicating to the thermal management circuit.

I had this problem, solved it by a complete tear down of the time capsule, and clean the fan very thoroughly. Canned Air, WD 40 on the blades. Then removed the sticker on the underside of the fan and added a couple of drops of 123 oil. It has been working good so far since the cleaning. But it has only been 24 hours.

Fan needs to be replaced if the RPM are not showing.. and the temp sensor might also be damaged. I just fixed one. https://sites.google.com/site/lapastenag
