Hey , i have a computer with a ryzen 5 3600 , rtx 2060 msi ventus xs , gigabyte b450m s2h v2 , aigo gp 550w , corsair (2x8gb) 3000mhz and a 250gb ssd and 500gb hdd i just bought this computer 2 months ago and i’ve been using it for gaming a lot but lately the computer just doesn’t turn on , i tried to remove the cmos and put it back , i also tried to force start the mobo , remove some components and try to turn it but nothing happens , the computer didn’t turn on for 3 days and in the 4th day it just turned on like nothing happened, no error message and when i played on it it was like normal . The next day it turned on as well and i played on it like normal , i shut down the computer to go eat and do stuff and when i came back it turned on like normal but today it just don’t wanna turn on like that other day . Some things that happened before the problem first showed up are i put my computer on the ground and don’t have a capet or anything just the ground , and also i use a 30m long ethernet cable that’s a little bit cut off because of closing the door on it , and also a worker came to our house and plugged his stuff to do house work and i think that’s what broke my psu . Hope you guys find a fix because the computer is new and i would be mad if something is broken on it .
Hi, Just verifying that there is no indications at all when trying to start the PC e.g. no lights, no fans, totally dead, is this correct? When a problem is random you have to start trying different things to see if you can make it work or even if you can make it fail every time When the PC is working get into BIOS and change the Power > AC BACK option from always off to always on and save the changes. (see p.34 of the motherboard user manual) This way if it won’t start by pressing the power button it should start when you turn off the AC power supply to the PC and then turn it back on again. This is just to eliminate if the power button is faulty or has a loose connection to the motherboard. If still no good you may have to test the PSU using the paperclip test to make sure that it is working OK.
