Chosen Solution My qualcomm chip (of samsung galexy core)overheat immidiately after i switch on my phone and a fully charged battery drains within few minutes. nishant singh since you have an IC that heats up immediately, it does sound like you have a shortcircuit somewhere on the board. Not sure which qualcomm chip you are referring to so it will help if you post some good clear images of your circuitboard....
Chosen Solution I dropped my phone in water I immediately put it in rice it was turning on a few hours ago but you could still see water in the screen so I put it back in rice I went to check on it. It was warm so I tried to turn it on now it won’t turn on and the charger is useless and when I hold the power button my phone just vibrates please please help...

You have an older computer and when you start up the screen remains black until it is time to log in? In my experience this is not an uncommon phenom here. the bios screen or setup sometimes won’t show up or maybe happens so fast that it is easily missed....

Worried it was something metal that could short something out and needed to clean the insides anyway so opened the cover and a small plastic piece fell out - see photos. Chosen Solution I’m suspicious of the power box, so how do I order a new one and change it myself? You need to get the power supply tested. “No power” is not necessarily a power supply. It could be the motherboard. You can get an inexpensive power supply tester from Ebay and check the power supply. If it is the power supply it is fairly straight forward. You can pick up a power supply at Best Buy or somewhere like that....
Chosen Solution Sure sounds like your power supply is going bad. I just had to replace mine —- it’s pretty simple to do, all the plugs to devices and the motherboard are designed to only fit one way. Too me about 20 minutes to rip the old one out, and slap the new one in. ALSO: most video cards today require their own power supply cable- it’s easy to pull it loose if you were monkeying around on the inside....

Chosen Solution My external drive isn’t working with the usb port on the right side of my computer, but works fine with the left. Other usb devices work fine with the right port, so I don’t know what the problem is. When I plug it into the right port, the power light on the external drive lights up and I can hear the components in it moving, but it doesn’t show up anywhere....

I own a Galaxy S8 G950F model and I bought it with SIM Card Reader known to malfunction…the issue is that I odered a new SIM READER and I failed replacing it. What I mean by failing is that I haven’t managed to remove it from the motherboard, even after I heated up that zone at 200 degrees Celsius. After I realised I need to contact special repair services I reassembled the phone and the volume up button was stuck as it was pressed but it was some motherboard issue, not the button itself....

But when I try to make a call there is no sound from the speaker and phone hangs up after a few seconds. This device was being used by a previous employee at my organisation and was locked to their icloud account which the claim they could not remembered. Pls advise how this would be bypassed and at what cost. Free! Just go to iforgot.apple.com and have them answer the security questions to reset the password. Chosen Solution Someone gave me a 48"smart TV made by LG but said that the popping noise happened and then the screen went black. I see other answers for capacitors but those were for plasmas, is it true for a smart TV as well that this may be the problem? Also should I tackle it myself I am tech savvy but not electronic.
