Chosen Solution I have tried different flex cables for the power button/proximity sensor that are new and neither work, the old one worked but was hard to push. I checked the board and made sure everything was plugged in correctly, can’t find any problems it just won’t function. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? install the old flex and see does it work as it was working before
Chosen Solution Hi guys, I’ve had the same problem with my macbook also no backlight. I’ve bridged the fuse and it’s reading 8.0V so that is not the problem. Can anyone else give me a push in the right direction. Much appriciated. Ir might be burnt out on the display. BTW bridging the fuse is risky, you can burn out other parts of the board (maybe start a fire). If this Answer is helpful please remember to return and mark it Accepted....

Chosen Solution There is no wifi in the network system preferences. Under system report it shows no Wifi. Installed completely new OSX High Sierra. Purchased new Blue Tooth Wifi card from iFix it. All to no avail. Blue Tooth works fine. Since the Bluetooth and AirPort Card are one unit, I would try reseating the cable and card, see if that works. It is possible, while unlikely that you got a bad part from iFixit....

Chosen Solution My Lenovo thinkpad x230 power button has stopped working to turn my computer on after a shutdown. I can still force start it by attaching the AC when adjusted in BIOS but clearly not ideal when there isn’t a power source available. The power button does however work to shutdown or sleep the computer once on so I don’t understand the issue. So far I’ve tried a few methods on the internet - taking the battery out, holding the power button for 30 seconds, putting the battery back in but nothing and given that the button still works to power off it isn’t a problem with the plastic button pressing down underneath....
Chosen Solution Proximity sensor works but it stays constantly on (screen turns off at calling without holding it to ear). I also checked it using code #0# everything else, is good proximity sensor displays 1 and screen vibrates and turns green. The ear piece area seems a bit loose. Chosen Solution I bought a new optics drive from ifixit and after taking it completely apart and replacing the drive it still won’t accept any disc’s. My old disc drive was failing and I had to tap the top of the ps4 while inserting cds, so I think it was the drive failing. But its still happening after the repair. Chosen Solution I have an Acer Nitro 5 and have installed a 1TB SSD by Crucial and it has worked for roughly 5 months now including this morning and this afternoon it had stopped said that it had a “Disk Error” and it restarted then got the Acer start screen loop to where I had to adjust the date and time to read correctly as well as the boot steps. It had my SSD 0 boot first as usual and when I changed that to have the SSD 1 boot first I was able to get into my laptop....

Unfortunately, TI doesn’t offer any repair centers anywhere. If your calculator is still within warranty they will replace the unit, but if it’s out of warranty then you’ll have to pay for a new one. Your problem likely has a very easy fix so there shouldn’t be any need to contact TI yet....
