I ordered what I thought was the correct screen for my iphone 8 plus pink with white screen. However, today the screen arrived and it’s black. I dont really care as I like the black screen. Can I use it? Update (08/01/2022) Thanks Jerry. So I hooked up new screen and…nothing. Re-Hooked up old screen and it still has the lines on the scree. Not sure why new screen does absolutely nothing (blank). Any ideas?
Yes you can use it - the screen color doesn’t affect the operation in any way whatsoever. You’re going to end up with a very contrasting home button is all; other than that I doubt anyone would ever know your phone didn’t start out with a black screen. I say go for it; you’ll be unique!
