I wanted to know if anyone has experience with this ZIF SSD upgrade on the original MBA A1237. I see OWC has a drive but it’s expensive for this old a machine. http://eshop.macsales.com/search/Paralle… I see these drives but am unsure if it will work in a Mac:: 1.8" Kingspec ZIF SSD 128GB for MacBook Air http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… i.e. $95.00 versus $ 229 for a 128GB
Any Sata solid state drive should work just fine in a Mac computer. The problem is that off the shelf drives would not be formatted to the Mac file system (Mac Journaled). Here is a good guide that should help you through the process: Apple Discussion
