Chosen Solution
I have been trying to open the screen on my ipod to change the home button. I have even used the iopener, and other tools to try. But it does not seem to want to open. Could you please give me any ideas that might make it easier.
Some ideas might be (some I have used as well): Use a hair dryer (similar effect as iOpener). Use a more powerful suction cup. Use iSclack (it is made for iPhones but may work in this case). Slip a razor blade in between the casing and the screen and attempt to pry up. Use a pry tool instead of the razor mentioned above.
