iPhone SE had a fully functional cracked screen. After replacing the original screen with an aftermarket screen I have faced a strange issue. The phone starts perfectly with the aftermarket screen (apple logo displayed, etc). Every modul (sound, buttons, vibration, etc) and the screen is working as it should. The first time the phone is put to sleep (manually or by the timer), the screen won’t turn back on, only the backlight is on, it is glowing in black. It does not matter what I do I am not able to make the screen again. The phone is on, I can hear the locking sound and it also vibrates when muted. If the original (cracked) screen is put back this issue is gone, the phone can be waken up again. I have tried: Updating the software to the newest (13.3.1) version.Hard resetting.Reinstalling 13.3.1 via iTunes while the phone is in DFU.Other new replacement screen for different source.
You simply have a defective replacement screen. Contact your supplier about a replacement or get a better quality screen from somewhere else. EDIT Is the original, cracked screen an Apple original screen or was it also an aftermarket screen? We do see this kind of issue where an original screen works but not aftermarket and sometimes we see the opposite where only aftermarkets work. This can be an issue with the LCD driver circuit and the various current requirements of different types of screens. When you replaced the screen, did you disconnect the battery before removing the screen and only connect it after having installed the screen? An oversight here can cause the symptoms you see.
