Chosen Solution
Hello, I bought a phone on a online marketplace with a cracked screen but everything else was working fine. There was a FRP lock on it and since i bought it online i had to remove it myself, I bought a replacement screen with frame and removed everything from the old frame and put it into the new frame. Then when i tested the sound wasnt working, i did read somewhere on the internet that this could happen when you flashed a different firmware. Since the screen was broken i couldnt fully read what firmware i needed so i tried flashing all firmware’s for my phone in my country what it was letting me flash because there arent that many.. but it wasnt working with neither of them. so i dont think its because of the firmware. I reopend it, removed everything and put it back in thought it was a connector or something i messed up.. but still nothing. When i make a phonecall i can hear the other person and he can hear me. And no it isnt on ‘‘mute’’ or something similair Any ideas why my sound isnt working?
@b100nl since you have sound with a headset there are two possible faults. One could be a bad speaker snd the other one is a bad headphone jack. Let us know the exact version of your S8 since there are different varieties according to the country/continent where it was sold Update (09/30/2020) @b100nl here are the instructions on how to check it
