Hello all, I recently acquired this late 2016 MacBook Pro A1707 15” with Touch Bar that was liquid damaged. The battery was all puffy so I replaced it with an ifixit brand battery but I can not get the computer to boot into recovery or show anything other than the backlight. I tried to reset SMC and NVRAM but I’m not sure if I did either correctly. I can’t find the board schematic for this machine either and I don’t know where to go. PLEASE HELP :(
there has been problems with the display cables wearing out over time on the 2016 models
At this point I think you’ll just need to bite the bullet and replace the logic board. Hopefully the rest of system is OK. MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2016) 2.6 GHz Logic Board, Radeon Pro 450, with Paired Touch ID Sensor
