My iPad had a cracked screen with severe LCD damage where all could be seen is lots of colored lines. I got a Apple Original screen to replace it and when I installed the new screen and hit the power button all I get is the backlight (no image just a black dim screen) for about 3-5 seconds and then it turns off. I transferred my home button to the new screen and it works fine as I am able to put the device in dfu mode with it and force restart. when plugged into my Mac it doesn’t show up in finder until I put it in recovery mode or dfu mode. when restoring it gives me an error 4013. when I put the damaged display back on, it restores without a problem and works as it should other than the damaged LCD. I don’t see why the new screen isn’t working. Any help is appreciated!
You have purchased a faulty aftermarket screen. Return it for a refund and purchase one from a reputable supplier. Apple does not sell replacement screens. Unless it was pulled from another iPad it will be aftermarket.
if you change the LCD without disconnecting the battery then might be light-related issues check it correctly.
