Hi All, I replaced the screen on the iPhone X and now the cameras (front and rear) and face ID don’t work. The camera app is black when I open it. It shows the white button and last photo taken. I don’t see any damage to the flex cable or connector on the board. I’ve tried multiple other cables with the same result. I reset the settings and updated it through iTunes. I put the original flex back on the original screen and same result. I am not sure if face ID or the cameras were working before the repair. I normally check what is working and what isn’t, but I forgot to this time. Do I need the device that copies the information from the old screen? Is that something that is just required now? If so, is there a solid option/place for that? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks

Last I recall FaceID didn’t get disabled when you replaced the screen on the X. Make sure you put the correct screws in their correct location. I’ve seen a video posted on STS Telecom’s channel on youtube with an issue like this where a screw was put in the wrong place and completely ruined FaceID and camera functionality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RvXF_Vf

It turns out it was an issue with the power chip on the board and needs to be replaced which requires micro soldering.
