I have a old Samsung NP300E5X-A0ANG (which a model number IFIXIT didn’t have) I had Linux Ubuntu installed on it which for some reason stopped working so i decided to wipe the drive and start fresh but i come to realize it no longer has BIOS at all So i have no way of getting into a one time boot menu no idea what button(s) i have use to flash an old .bin file i apparently had in Google drive (i have a account were i only put drivers and firmware etc. On it in case i ever need it)
I think you are saying that you can not access the bios…it must have a bios if it was booting but perhaps the access to the bios is corrupted? I would take the unit apart (look for tear down videos of similar models or search for some instructions…I had to do that with my obsolete and uncommon laptop and somehow found enough info). You’ll need to locate the CR2032 or similar bios battery holder on the motherboard and replace the battery.
The problem is caused by UEFI boot after installing Debian Linux. The Samsung BIOS is faulty by default and if I know well it is not yet fixed by the manufacturer. I had the same problem.
