Should I bother replacing my display assembly on my mac? The logic board works except no backlight on the display. I ordered a used logic board on eBay, but was wondering if I should order a replacement display as well.
Hi Paul, It completely depends on why there is no backlight. There could be residual corrosion that needs to be addressed. It could be that the backlight on the display itself has failed. With liquid damage, I would suspec that the logic board is the issue. It is certainly repairable by a shop with the correct equipment and knowledge. Cheers, Joshua
