No Ability To Communicate With This Drive Power Mac G5

Power Mac - Late 2003 - Western Digital Black 1T Hard Drive ( 2019 ) - SATA Hard Drive . Power Mac ( Late 2003 ) had no ability to communicate with this drive as it shipped. Enable/Activate OPT1 ( 1.5 Gb/s Data Transfer Speed ) with a Jumper On/Between Pins 5 & 6. Instructions can be found here . . . https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/de… With Hard Drive ( label up communication / power connectors down ) it is the ( 3rd set of pins from Right = 2nd set of pins from Left ) I used a jumper from an old drive no longer in use. This will force the drive to use the appropriate 1.5 Gb/s Data Transfer Speed/Mode.

Do you currently have a working drive in the machine with a system on it? Do you have the original system installation disk? It will run up to 10.5.8 but no higher.
