I have recently been trying to fix my friend’s controller after they threw it and the joystick stopped working. I got it open and saw that the joystick module had snapped and so I ordered a set of new modules. I managed to replace the old one with a new one by soldering it in place, but now the joystick only goes up without any user input. It will just start going up in menus and such without the joystick even moving. I did notice that that bottom had a little plastic bit that kept the module from actually touching the board like the ones that come with it, but it’s only a few millimetres and I don’t think that’s it. Any help?
Jakobi Bruce could be a bad joystick module. I would try a different one. Double check your work and double check the board to ensure it did not get damaged during the “incident” You can always post some pictures with your question so we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
