Chosen Solution

Hi Guys thank you for your time, and thank you for your help I’ve been in trouble with my old (early 2008 iMac ) The problem was it was starting correctly but after it, I can’t do anything, like open an app or use the utilities, open a files…. Just the rainbow circle been loading for ages So I can just turn it off manually I’ve been trying all the reset PRAM , S , C and after discuss with you on ifixit, the best solution was to change the hard drive So now I have a new one , but after the installation with the 2 disc. it keep freezing, on the first parameters when you do the installation, freezing on my personal information after completing them and press continue, the rainbow happen again and keep charging forever… So I would like to know if I need to add more RAM or anything , or if is better for me to stop putting money on it and give it away Thank you all for your help !
