My early 15” 2011 Has done a big part of a huge computing and I make sure the battery is healthy. But I realized that When clicking the battery sign, at the top, it says “service battery”. I went to system information and checked the number of cycles, because I was convinced that it was not more than 1000. And sure it was not more than 100. It’s now 98. The battery can not be completely erased nor bad. This is currently the 4920 mA store on full charge. Battery Specifications (77.5W / 10.95 V) will indicate that if I do my mathematics properly, this battery can be around 7000mAh. Am I correct in my account, or is it a problem with the operating system? Do you think Apple will cover it, even though this 1000 cycle does not even hit the laptop out of warranty? I am currently running the latest version.
There is more than just the number of cycles you need to contend with. If the system is telling you you need to replace the battery you do!
