Hi. I have a MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 that suddenly stopped booting up. I’ve taken it to the Apple Store, and unfortunately, they were unable to fix it right then & there (and it’s outside of warranty, and I don’t have Apple Care on it), but they were kind enough to extract the SSD out of it, so that I can recover the data before going any further. I now need to connect this SSD to some sort of chassis or sled (as inexpensive as possible), so that I can copy the data from it to another volume. Through my searches, I happened upon this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-3-0-to-Macbo… Certainly LOOKS like it’ll work. Will it?

I don’t think the unit you have linked will work here. Sorry ;-{ The issue here is they are expecting the SSD is mSATA which it’s not in this series. This series uses a PCIe SSD drive I would go with this: OWC Envoy Pro Portable, Bus-Powered USB 3.0 Enclosure For Apple Flash SSDs (June 2013-Current Mac Models). You might find one used for less.
