I cracked the LDC display (I think?) underneath the screen of my Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom last night. The screen is completely dead. I’m trying to extract the files from the phone by plugging it into my computer, but it’s not working. I really need the files off of my phone, as I don’t know if I’ll be able to fix it or have to replace it. Can anyone help?
I think you have to grant access to the phone before you can access the files on it when you connect it to a computer. Really your only option would be to either replace the screen or take it to a repair shop and see if they will help you retrieve your data. As long as it’s only the screen that’s broken, all the data is still on the phone.
