My volume button is stuck and is getting pushed into my phone. When I restart my phone, it is under safe mode cause my volume button is stuck. I can’t disassemble the phone cause it comes in one piece of metal. How should i unstick the volume button?

your best bet is to grab some small metal flat too to try and slide it into the housing where the buttons are. You will then try to pull the buttons back out or see if there is any metal that may be obstructing the button from coming back out. With that model, you should be able to heat the phone using a similar method to the galaxy s5 and separate the display from the frame. This would allow you to get a close up look at the issue. But if you are not well versed in phone repair, this can be a dangerous method of resolution.

Hi i just fixed my s7 by removing vokume key with a nail clipper now is running normal

So my s10 slid out my pocket today at work and fell on the volume button (out of all places) and smashed the metal. Volume was stuck all the way down and stuck in safe mode. But what I did to fix it which idk if it’s all galaxy’s or just the s10 but the volume was not connected by any wires, so wiggle the wire side of the volume button (carefully) and it will eventually come out, take it out look at the damage, don’t try to fix anything just place the volume button equally in and press equally in and it will go in and work perfectly fine, if your a lil nonphone savvy like my self then you’ll prob notice the button that was stuck is a little harder to press in but still does its function. Then you can disable your safe mode and It will be off for good but also get the phone looked at after so it doesn’t happen again.

Start off by following the steps to replace you volume buttons then as you reassemble the volume you will put it back in its right place. There are currently no repair guides on this website (ifixit.com) you should check on YouTube. Good luck

I have the same problem

My power button was stuck so far in nothing could grab it. Didn’t think I had a chance & would have to go get it repaired. I tried everything. First the alcohol and Q-Tip, listed all over the Internet. Then, the tinyist 3 in 1 oil. All the while poking and wedging with a very thin needle. I tried the nail clipper like someone else did. Just chipped off some of the button. Oops! Tried pushing the tiniest bit back and forth. I blew into it as hard as I could with my mouth around it. Covered it with my mouth, spit and pushed the spit in. Nothing budged it. After hours, I still held out hope. Tried a stiff brush w/ alcohol. Took 30 lb gorilla mounting tape pushed it onto the button & yanked at it. Tried gorilla extra sticky tape, too . I don’t know which did it, or what combination, but finally I covered the button with the Gorilla extra sticky tape to grab it the best I could with tweezers, yanked and it finally moved, and clicked! Yay! Continued cleaning, stuffing & wedging the needle in until it clicked easily.

I just watched a video where a guy suggested getting a cotton tip with alcohol on it (I used nail polish remover as I had no alcohol). Make sure it’s not excessively wet, like dropping, rub it against the buttons and it should losen up the keys . It’s worked for me on my S10+

Just suck on the volume buttons it worked for me :)))

Yes is the please help me I can remove safe mode ’

i did by clicking the volume down button 100 timesssssssss, increasing my volume and then trying to decrease. once it got fixed i switched off and switched on and then my safe mode was also gone. hope it helps you

My android phone started doing this recently (S10+) and I can’t fix it. Tried gentle cleaning with a q-tip, thin metal etc. Work around. Locate and install the Assistive Volume Button app by mCreations. Grant permissions. Place it next to your broken volume button on screen by drag and drop (you can also adjust the opacity, size and colour on the free version). Then under button settings enable System Volume Bar. Now touching the app buttons opens all 4 sliders on your system volume controls just like tapping the 4 dots on volume up/down would.
