I need to know what other motherboards could be used instead of A000005040. I am open to buying this motherboard or a compatible replacement either new or used. Please help.
Because you are dealing with a laptop, you need to get the one specified by the manufacturer. There isn’t much if any room for deviation when you are dealing with a laptop; the motherboard is one of the items that you can’t deviate on. The problem is, everything in the laptop has been reduced in size so as to allow for portability; and you have to make sure that everything will match and will work together. Are you sure you need a new motherboard? Unless you know how to replace it yourself, you would be better off buying another laptop rather than another motherboard. Even if you replace it yourself, it may not be worth replacing.
