My printer is not picking up the paper when it goes to the printer. It keeps a loud scrubbing noise when it goes to the printer. The computer is not recognizing the printer. The printer is in an error state. It is giving an out of paper error message. Any assistance would be appreciated.
The most common problems are paper not loaded correctly- check the rails and stops, debris or dirty paper pickup rollers- remove all paper and look for scraps of paper and use a soft cloth with alcohol to clean the rollers. Other problems are sensor flag stuck or broken, paper transport gears or motor are bound up.
