I dropped my playstion 3 on the ground. It wasn’t very far and didn’t drop hard. The green power light comes on, stays on for a minute and then it just shuts off. The screen never comes on during all of this.
@blrymer1 there is no specific part the we could point to which may have failed. Time to open it up and inspect for damages to the power board/wiring etc. Use these guides to work on your console.
this happen to me, the contact between the ihs and the chip got loosen because of the vibration, open your ps3, clean the thermal paste on the ihs and the chip, make sure that the ihs has contact on the chip, put thermal paste again and assemble it,
